On short notice, TRL Systems was chosen by a major university for huge job in size and scope—all within a short timeline with no room for error. The university needed outdated fire alarm equipment demolished and new equipment installed in dorms, apartments and towers—several were occupied. TRL had just two weeks to form a crew of nearly 20 guys and it had to make choices based on two major
concerns.

TRL Systems is providing system integration programming including:
• Installing system cabling
• Installing electrified door strikes on the appropriate interior doors
• Electrifying the Von Duprin Series 99 door hardware on the appropriate exterior doors

TRL Systems was selected by St. Bernardine Medical Center, owned by Dignity Health, to replace their existing Simplex Fire Alarm System with a new state of the art EST-3 Fire Alarm System. The EST system
is fully addressable and will continually perform self-tests and generate sensitivity reports directly at the panel. Installation of the new EST Fire Alarm System will be side by side with the existing Simplex system to minimize the need for Fire Watch requirements. TRL will network all buildings together to form a complete system.
